Peritus is a boutique financial planning firm with its own Australian Financial Services Licence (“AFSL”), that provides financial planning and investment management services to a range of executives, business owners, high net worth individuals, retirees and wealth accumulators.
What we do can simply be summarised into three key areas:
1. Wealth Creation 2. Wealth Protection 3. Wealth Distribution
We specialise in designing retirement and wealth accumulation strategies, aimed at minimising taxation and maximising after tax income and capital values. We are acutely aware of the need to protect the assets you have created and have the means in most cases to do this and finally, when it’s time to pass those assets onto to others we know how to do this in a manner that suits you and the end beneficiary.
Our clients see the benefits of our advice in different ways i.e., sending their children to good schools, living a long comfortable retirement, regular travel, growing their business or enjoying their favourite leisure activities, it all depends on what is important to each of them.
Unlike the majority of financial planning firms, Peritus is not owned by or licenced through a financial institution. Our clients see significant value in this as it allows them to receive advice on products and services that meet their needs rather than the needs of a financial services company.
All Peritus advisers are members of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (“FPA”). We believe this is an important accreditation to demonstrate our commitment to the highest level of professional and ethical standards. FPA membership carries education and experience requirements. Members must comply with practice standards, a code of ethics and continue their professional education. Members are held accountable through a rigorous complaints and discipline system.
We believe that accurate and timely advice comes from those who have the right training, experience and professional networks. Therefore, all Peritus advisers have university degrees and post graduate qualifications in one or more of the following disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Financial Planning and Finance. They also have many years’ of advice experience both with Peritus and with other finance related businesses and they have established a network of competent professionals (accountants, lawyers, mortgage brokers, stock brokers, real estate agents, settlement agents) they can consult if required.
Of course, you may already have an accountant or other professional adviser you are working with. If this is the case then we too will work with them to ensure optimum financial and taxation strategies are developed and full advantage is achieved from the latest information available. Peritus encourages working with specialists to ensure your complete financial situation is optimised.
